A historical venue in Caboolture is playing host to a music festival dedicated to blues with a line-up of top artists picked to play.
Caboolture residents with a love of blues tunes are in luck this autumn. The end of the season will see the suburb present a single day event for the much-loved music genre called “The Porch Blues Festival”. The full day of entertainment is helmed by host, Zed Charles and includes an eclectic mix of musicians bringing their own brand of blues to the stage.
Promoters of music festivals often add the names of performing artists to adverts using flyer printing services with the aim of encouraging community members to attend.
Acts booked to play at the incoming event in Caboolture include Miss Jodie and the Hoochers, Jesse Redwing, Shadie Hadie and Guests, and Dillion James. The final performance of the festival will be a jam session featuring all the artists on the bill.
The Porch Blues Festival will now run at the hotel in Caboolture Historical Village on Saturday, May 2. The event begins at 2 pm and finishes at 10 pm and the venue can be found at 280 Beerburrum Road in Caboolture about two kilometres from Caboolture CBD.
The village is also only an hour’s drive from the Sunshine Coast or Brisbane for blues fans from beyond the suburb.
