New musical headed to Milperra area

Georges Hall will soon welcome a new musical production, which provides a new take on a timeless tale.

Fans of music and theatre from Milperra, Georges Hall and other parts of Canterbury Bankstown will not want to miss this unique twist on the story of Joseph. While this is certainly not the first time Joseph’s story has been told in a musical format, with Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat” being among the most famous, “Not Your Average Joe” brings a new look and sound to the stage.

The musical production was created by David Guthrie, Rob Howard and Deborah Craig-Claar. Organisers and promoters of theatrical and musical performances can sometimes use professional flyer printing services to create colourful advertisements designed to suit the shows they are presenting.

The play takes the story of Joseph but sets it in the 1950s, with musical numbers styled for the surf music scene. From characters sporting slicked-back hair to scenery stacked with surfboards, Joseph and his coat of many colours has an entirely new sound and appearance, while carrying the same message.

Not Your Average Joe will be performed on Friday, September 3 from 9.30am to 11.30am at 42a Beale Street in Georges Hall. Tickets are $5 per person, with family of four admissions available priced at $15.
