A sports stadium based in Condell Park is holding a course for beginners to learn basic basketball skills and techniques.
Families in the area with children interested in picking up new sporting abilities can enrol them in this programme launching in autumn. Titled “Bankstown Skills & Development”, the basketball course is broken down into one-hour classes and is suited to young people aged between five and 17 years old.
Returning members of the programme can enrol in classes for $125, while those new to the course pay $160.
Sports associations and institutions offering learning opportunities for younger players often rely on experienced brochure printing services that can create pamphlets for parents that detail times, dates and prices.
Open to children of all ability levels in basketball, the programme lets participants learn the rules of basketball and pick up the core skills required to succeed on the court. New players will learn how to defend, dribble, shoot, pass and improve their footwork.
Developed to be inclusive, classes take place in a friendly environment and are designed with fun in mind.
The first Bankstown Skills & Development class will be held on Wednesday, April 22 at the Bankstown Basketball Stadium. The session starts at 4.30 pm and runs until 5.30 pm and the stadium is sited at 2 Third Avenue in Condell Park.
