A cooking workshop will be held this October in Milperra and will focus on plant-based cooking.
The session will teach participants about nutrition and how to apply good food choices in an everyday setting. Hosted by Kate Levins, participants will be shown how to combine quality nutrition and flavour with recipes based on fresh foods.
Kate is a nutritionist and writer and she specialises in educating people on how to used plant-based foods. She runs workshops, cooking classes and catering services and became a vegan one year ago after developing digestive issues while she was travelling. Kate is passionate about healthy eating and sharing her knowledge with others.
Participants at the workshop will be taught how to put together a recipe that is not only good for you, but is also flavoursome. Printing services may be used to create informative material for this type of event.
Information will be readily available on the day to teach attendees about the need to understand the nutritional value of plant foods, particularly vitamin B12, iron, zinc, omega three fatty acids and proteins. Adopting a vegan lifestyle can have many advantages, however fundamental knowledge is important to make sure no nutrition is missing.
The workshop will be held on Friday 4th October at 10am at Western Sydney University in Milperra and the event is free to attend.
