Milperra residents prepare to tantalise their tastebuds

Bankstown Bites, the much-loved Sydney festival of international food, will hit the streets in July with a vast selection of delicious specialties from around the world.

As well as mouth-watering food stalls, the multi-cultural gourmet event will include taste testing opportunities, cooking demonstrations and activities for children. Milperra food lovers will have the chance to watch television host Diana Chan, who was the winner of MasterChef 2017, show off her culinary skills. Other celebrities displaying their skills in the kitchen will be Arnott and Fuzz, who were contestants in My Kitchen Rules 2022. Food stalls will showcase cuisine from places such as Italy, Thailand, Japan and Turkey, as well as many other countries. Stall holders may use banner printing to let eventgoers know what kinds of delicious cuisines they will be offering.

Food tours will also be operating on the day; tour members will get the opportunity to visit three different local food businesses around town. The tours will run twice daily. There will also be plenty of opportunities for those who are keen to volunteer for the event, including food tour guides, assistants at the registration desk and kitchen assistants.

Bankstown Bites has been running since 2005 and attracts around 10,000 people every year.

The festival will be held on Saturday, July 29 from 10am until 4pm at Olympic Parade, Bankstown.
