Milperra community to benefit from fitness initiative

Canterbury Bankstown has launched a new fitness programme for the community.

The new programme, known as CBfit, will run from the Max Parker Leisure and Aquatic Centre in Revesby. It will be a convenient and economical option for residents of Revesby and the surrounding suburbs, including Milperra.

CBfit will run group fitness sessions with nine classes in various styles, ranging from gentle yoga classes to high-impact cardio sessions, such as high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and boxing. The programme aims to allow residents to train with qualified instructors and build up their fitness levels. Classes will cater to all fitness levels, with instructors breaking classes up into small groups to allow for different levels of fitness.

The programme has been set up after consultation with community groups, residents and fitness professionals to understand how it could meet the community's needs. The council identified the need for the classes via a recent survey, which showed a shortage of group fitness classes on offer at the Max Parker Centre.

Flyer printing is a cost-effective and efficient method to communicate new programmes like this, advertising class details and times.

The council believes that CBfit is an example of the commitment to work towards a healthier Canterbury Bankstown, and it is confident that the programme will allow residents to remain active and healthy.
