A UK band that play reggae pop are coming to the Milperra area later this year.
Chart-topping music legends UB40 are set to play Milsons Point on their upcoming tour across the states of Australia. Achieving multiple nominations at the Grammys for Best Reggae Album, the group from Birmingham in the United Kingdom also enjoyed being nominated at the Brit Awards in 1984 for Best British Group. Now with more over 70 million record sales worldwide, the group’s continuously evolving line up has featured a wealth of different nationalities and ethnicities, including English, Yemeni, Irish, Welsh, Jamaican and Scottish.
Over the years, band members have included Ali Campbell, Mickey Virtue and Astro, among many others.
Those with tickets for the upcoming concert in New South Wales will get the chance to appreciate a wide array of hit tracks from UB40, which may include numbers like “Please Don’t Make Me Cry”, “Cherry Oh Baby”, “Kingston Town”, “Red, Red Wine” and “The Way You Do the Things You Do”.
UB40 will now perform live on stage at Big Top Sydney, 1 Olympic Drive in Milsons Point. The gig will start at 7:00 pm and continue until 11:30 pm.
