Hawaiian act heads for Milperra

A leading musical group from Polynesia will be performing a live show in Sydney in 2025.

Milperra residents with a thirst for world music will get a rare chance to catch the number one independent band in Hawaii and Polynesia. The Metro Theatre in nearby Sydney has confirmed it will be presenting hit group Maoli in February for a summer show.

Theatres, nightclubs and concert halls often use poster printing services to access professionally designed adverts for the shows they host.

The band is led by front man extraordinaire, Glenn Awong and launched in 2007. Since then they have performed all over the United States, in the South Pacific, New Zealand and Australia transcending musical borders with their talent and capturing the imagination of people around the world.

In 2020 the band’s LP “Sense of Purpose” was recognised as album of the year at the Island Awards held by iHeart. In 2023 they embarked on an epic tour of Hawaii called the Maoli Music Overload selling over 45,000 tickets in four cities.

Fans coming down to the show can hear hits by Maoli played live which may include numbers like “Every Night Every Morning”, “Shoot Down” and “You Can Have it All”.

Maoli will now take centre stage at the Metro Theatre on Monday, February 3. The venue can be found at 624 George Street in Sydney.
