Conference on waste management to be held near Condell Park
The New South Wales branch of Keep Australia Beautiful will hold their state-wide, annual conference in Sydney, near Condell Park.
This year’s theme “Picking Up the Pieces: Local Solutions to a National Problem” will build off the 2024 event, exploring approaches and initiatives to reducing the problem of litter and the lifecycle of waste.
Experts, industry leaders, advocates and policymakers will come together to discuss their insights, research and experiences to provide attendees with a range of practical strategies, new initiatives and valuable insights into local waste management.
The conference will tackle how local stakeholders, including councils, businesses and residents, can address the topics of litter, illegal dumping and the cycle of waste, with a focus on changing behaviour, promoting positive relationships with the environment and turning waste into resources. Discussions will include the importance of collaboration and innovation in developing a holistic approach to waste management.
