Boating race to hit the harbour near Milperra area

Residents of Milperra and the surrounding Sydney suburbs are in a prime position to hit the Sydney Harbour for the Australia Sail Grand Prix (GP), which will be returning for its fourth season this month.

Supported by government tourism agent Destination NSW, the event boasts “close, heart-stopping racing” and “record-breaking speeds” for a water race that has proved popular all over the world.

Attendees may expect to see quality banner printing at events like this, which not only advertise racers and sponsors, but also provide visual aids. Drawing in large crowds can make identifying different areas difficult, and Banners can ensure the directions are easy to spot.

Tom Slingsby and his Australian team will be sporting a green and gold kit, and can be seen racing against the top competitors in the sport from Canada, Denmark, France, Great Brittan, Japan, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland and the Unites States.

Ticket options are available from Genesis Island, Team Base Tours, Spectator Boats or Personal Boat Fees, and can also be purchased on the Sail GP website.

Pre-purchase of tickets is required, as no ticket sales will be available on the day. A free spectator area will also be set up on the shore.

Those attending may head to the waters of Sydney Harbour on Saturday, 24 and Sunday, 25 February from 4:00pm to 5:00pm to watch the action.
