Theatre goers from Milperra and throughout the Canterbury-Bankstown area will have an opportunity to see some great hit shows during 2019.
Among the big drawcards will be Tarzan and My Fair Lady. According to Mayor Khal Asfour, the shows will be further enhanced by the accompanying music, adding:
“The Canterbury Theatre Guild has been able to secure the rights to use the Phil Collins music score, which is just fantastic.”
The Bryan Brown Theatre in Bankstown, named after an award-winning Australian actor who has featured many times on poster printing for major stage productions and movies, will host Tarzan in April followed in July/August by My Fair Lady.
Theatre patrons can look forward to a wide range of titles with something for everybody to enjoy, according to the Mayor. Last year, 130 shows were presented on stage at the Bryan Brown Theatre to a total audience exceeding 30,000 people.
The theatre itself has been designed to make everyone feel as though they are in the best seat no matter where they are sitting. A licensed bar serving food and drinks is also available.
Among the venue’s list of upcoming events are the Lebanese Comedy Festival March 15-17, 4 Elements Hip Hop Festival March 28 to April 6, The Jitterbugs April 17, The Beanies April 24, Tarzan April 6-14, and My Fair Lady July 20 to August 4.
