Families in Castle Hill looking for entertainment during the school holidays may think about heading to nearby Bella Vista Farm Park, to take in some of the region’s big upcoming events.
The Summer Series, organised by the Hills Shire Council, is a range of events suitable for both young and old.
Until the end of December, visitors can enjoy Shakespeare in the Park, which this year features Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Crucible by Arthur Miller, performed by local company Sport for Jove There. Both evening and matinee performances are taking place.
Children can enjoy the sand sculpture event that starts on Boxing Day and runs until Monday, January 26th, featuring characters from Disney Pixar movies including Monsters Inc. and Finding Nemo. As well as the main sculptures, there will be activities including sand art and a giant sandpit to play in.
The day could make for some great photos, and a professional Print company could reproduce one or two images in larger format to be hung on the wall or sent to relatives overseas.
The Summer Series culminates with the Australia Day celebrations, which will feature singer Kate Ceberano, a fireworks display, and a special Citizenship Ceremony.
