Residents of the Hills Shire will come together in September for the annual Orange Blossom Festival at the Castle Hill Showground.
Subtitled ‘Lights, Beats and Eats’, the event will light up the night and offer a great programme of entertainment and plenty of food options.
The Hills Shire has been a major citrus producing region since the 1800s and when the festival was first held in 1969, it seemed fitting to name it after the orange blossom, which is just coming into flower at this time of year.
Music will be provided by Lah-Lah’s Big Live Band, Reece Mastin, Jon Stevens, Dauntless Movement Crew and others. There will be interactive stalls, games, amusement rides, face painting and roving entertainers. Putt-putt and roller-skating will be available for those who wish to get things rolling.
A variety of food trucks will be on hand to satisfy everyone’s hunger and there will be fire-twirlers and pop-up light displays throughout the evening. The much-anticipated fireworks display will wrap up the event at the end of the night. Stall holders at events such as this often use banner printing to create eye-catching signage for their stalls.
The festival will be held on Saturday 14th September from 4pm to 9pm at the Castle Hill showgrounds and entry is free.
