The region is set to host three large events in November and December, starting with the Sydney Country Music Festival being held at Bella Vista Farm early next month.
The Hills Shire mayor, Councillor Andrew Jefferies, said the tourism sector generated around $350 million for the area each year, and local firms should take advantage of the big items on the calendar. He commented:
“Events such as the Sydney Country Music Festival and the International Sand Sculpting Exhibition are major components of our plan to boost the visitor economy. We want our major events to pull in crowds from outside of the Hills and deliver more business and revenue to our local retailers, restaurants, bars, cafes and hotels.”
Castle Hill businesses, especially those in hospitality and tourism, should think about what they can do to attract the extra visitors set to flock to the Hills Shire. This could include special offers that could be advertised by flyer printing or poster printing, both of which offer cost-effective marketing methods.
Additionally, the Country Music Festival will be held on Saturday, November 8th, followed by the International Sand Sculpting Competition also at Bella Vista Farm, and the Christmas lights show on Castle Hill’s Main Street in December.
