Budding singers and musicians have the chance to put their skills to the test as part of this year's Sydney Country Music Festival.
The Silver Saddle competition is being held in conjunction with the festival, and offers artists the chance to perform at the concert itself.
First though, aspiring performers will need to make it through one of two heats to prove they have what it takes to perform on the big stage. One will be held during the Orange Blossom Festival in Castle Hill next month. Friends and families can show their support for performers using banner printing to ensure their message can be seen from the stage.
The final will be held at the festival, and entrants stand a chance of winning a paid spot at next year's gig.
The Orange Blossom Festival will also have family entertainment, including face painting, a rock-climbing wall, a designer market and acoustic music, as well as Sydney's food trucks, which will be selling goods from around the globe.
The Orange Blossom Festival takes place on Saturday, September 13th and Sunday, September 14th at Old Northern Road, and the Sydney Country Music Festival takes place on Saturday, November 8th at Bella Vista Farm.
