Christmas spirit coming to Castle Hill

The Hills Shire Council has organised a series of events to take place in Castle Hill Main Street during December, in a bid to attract locals and visitors to the area.

This year, the council has installed an LED light canopy called Sky Show, which will light up each night and show festive images. Local schools and music groups will also be performing carols and Christmas music each evening. The lights will be switched on during a special opening night that will also feature music and entertainment, as well as a visit from Santa.

The Hills Shire Mayor Councillor, Andrew Jefferies, said the council had been working to bring more variety to Main Street and make it more vibrant, and the Christmas lights would attract people to the new-look area.

The events should bring extra trade to the many cafes, bars, and shops in Main Street, and retailers should think about how they can cash in on the increased business. Flyer printing and poster printing are cost-effective advertising methods that could be used to publicise special festive deals.

The fun begins with the switching on of the Christmas lights on Friday, December 5th and ends on Wednesday, December 31st with a broadcast of the Sydney New Year’s Eve fireworks display on a big television screen.
