Fans of contemporary folk from Castle Hill and other parts of Sydney will be able to see Grammy-nominated artists The Milk Carton Kids this July when they bring their unique blend of intricate musicianship and heartfelt harmonies to City Recital Hall. The Milk Carton Kids formed in 2011 and quickly emerged as a potent force on the American folk scene, combining skilled playing with ethereal harmonies to create a powerful songbook. Celebrated music magazine, MOJO, described their work as:

In 2013 the duo released its debut entitled “The Ash & Clay” which proved to be a national breakthrough and earned them a Grammy Award nomination for the Best Folk Album of the year. Their song “The City of Our Lady” on their third album in the studio “Monterey” earned them a second nomination in 2015, cementing their success.
The Milk Carton Kids will now play live at the City Recital Hall on Saturday, July 8. The venue is located at 2 Angel Place in Sydney.
