A world-famous Sydney venue is set welcome a renowned US artist synonymous with surfing.
American musician, filmmaker and former surfer Jack Johnson will be performing live at Sydney Opera House in December, enabling fans from Castle Hill and other suburbs to enjoy his latest efforts. Major national venues often employ expert printing services to create a range of branded materials for them from wearables for staff to signage and literature.
Well-known for his acoustic pop rock and surf sounds, Johnson recently rolled out a brand-new studio recording called “Meet the Moonlight”. The US singer-songwriter earned early fame from his debut recording “Brushfire Fairytales”. This success was quickly capitalised on when he recorded the “Sing-A-Longs and Lullabies” which served as an original motion picture soundtrack for the Curious George movie in 2006. Since then, Johnson has enjoyed album chart success with numerous number ones including “From Here to Now to You” and “Sleep Through the Static”.
Born in Hawaii, Johnson was once a professional surfer and is an active environmentalist supporting the world's oceans. The proceeds of many of his albums are donated to eco-friendly causes established by himself and his wife Kim. Those attending the gig will get a chance to hear classic tracks from Johnson which may include “Better Together” and “I Got You”.
Jack Johnson will play Sydney Opera House at Bennelong Point on Monday, December 5.
