Business expo coming to the Hills Shire

Businesses from Castle Hill and around the Hills Shire are being invited to take part in this year’s Sydney Hills Small Business Exchange.

The event, organised by the Hills Shire Council, was held for the first time in 2015 as a way of promoting local businesses, and was deemed a success with more than 500 people attending along with a range of exhibitors.

The exchange is aimed at small and microbusinesses that are just starting or looking to expand, and gives them the chance to talk to organisations that may be able to help. The Council estimates that around 97% of businesses in the Sydney Hills are small firms.

Exhibitors include government agencies and other companies that work with small businesses, such as software designers, lawyers and accountants. Business owners can book short appointments with each of these organisations to discuss specific questions or seek general advice.

The event will also include a series of workshops and the chance to network with other businesses, so it would be a good idea for attendees to think about business card printing before the day so they can easily exchange details.

The Small Business Exchange takes place on Thursday, March 10, at the Norwest Business Park and registrations to attend open on Monday, February 1. Entry is free and more details of the exhibitors will be released closer to the event.
