Bestselling crime author to speak in Castle Hill

Literature lovers from Castle Hill will not have to travel far to take part in this year’s Sydney Writers’ Festival, with an event

taking place at the local library.

Internationally renowned crime author Camilla Lackberg will be speaking at Castle Hill library next month as part of a series of festival events around suburban Sydney.

After building a career as an economist, Camilla Lackberg’s first novel was published in 2003 shortly after the birth of her first child. She has since written a series of crime novels based in the Swedish community of Fjallbacka where she grew up. Print companies have created more than 10 million Copies of her Books, which have been translated into 35 different languages and sold in more than 50 countries.

During the Castle Hill event, the author will talk about her best-selling Books, including the latest, Buried Angels, which was released this month.

The Sydney Writers’ Festival is a month-long celebration of writers and writing, which this year features talks by international authors including Irvine Welsh and Alice Walker, and Australian writers such as David Malouf and Thomas Keneally. Events include author talks, workshops, and panel discussions.
