Brookvale residents have been invited to have a say on the proposed Community Health Centre development opposite Warringah Mall.
A four-storey building boasting floor space of almost 5600sqm, together with a multi-storey car park to cater for 475 vehicles and a pedestrian bridge leading to the local bus service at Warringah Mall, has been included in the proposal.
According to a Warringah Council spokesperson, the main entry into the site will be off Pittwater Road, with rear access also available to the building.
The seven-storey car park will be linked with Warringah Mall via a pedestrian bridge, with public transport for use by commuters, clients and staff of the community health facility available from the bus interchange on Pittwater Road.
The spokesperson said access-controlled parking spaces were likely and up to 100 bicycles would also be able to take advantage of secure parking facilities.
The multi-purpose facility will provide multicultural health services, aged care and rehabilitation services, oral health services, HIV/AIDS and associated programmes, community alcohol and drug services, community nursing, chronic care, family and child health services, breast screening, and mental health services.
Printing services were enlisted to enable the environmental impact statement to be displayed for public viewing at the Dee Why Civic Centre and Library and the Warringah Mall Library.
Submissions from residents must be received by December 4.
