Live theatre returns for students

Children from across Sydney’s Northern Beaches, including Brookvale, are set to benefit from a new production to be presented on stage at the Glen Street Theatre.

Young students from local schools across the region are excited to see live entertainment returning to the theatre following a long period of disruptions caused by Covid-19 restrictions.

The early March performances will see Richard Tulloch’s adaptation of a book written by Sam McBratney, called Guess How Much I Love You, hit the stage, kicking off a series of theatre experiences scheduled for 2022.

Oxford Falls Grammar K-2 students are set to attend the performance with their teacher Karen Rose, who described the activity in a statement as educational and fun. She added:

“Taking children to see a book adaptation on stage is the perfect way to engage even the most reluctant readers and a unique way for students to interact with a text.”

CDP Theatre Producers will present the show, which is specifically aimed at young student and their teachers or families. Poster printing campaigns have often helped to promote events such as CDP’s latest production at the Belrose-based theatre, located at the corner of Blackbutts Road and Glen Street from 3 to 5 March.

The enchanting story of nature and love will unfold complete with beautiful puppetry, laughter and music as the main characters Big and Little Nutbrown Hare discover the colour and magic of the seasons.
