The focus of the talks will be to help the business community minimise their carbon footprint while also saving on energy bills. Northern Beaches Mayor Michael Regan said businesses were incurring significant costs due to rising power bills, adding:
“There is no time like the present to discover ways of making your business more energy efficient and to save money at the same time.”
He urged business owners to attend the workshop where they will be able to share the experience with like-minded people in business and learn more about the ways battery storage and solar power can adequately address business needs. Tips for achieving energy efficiency will also be shared.
The seminar is to be held at the Dee Why RSL club on November 14 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm and has been put together via the ‘Charge Ahead’ programme administered by the council.
According to the Mayor, the ultimate aim is to help everyone to reduce their carbon footprint and save energy in both their businesses and homes. Aided by informative brochure printing on the subject, the free workshops are providing locals with an opportunity to learn more at no cost to them.
Southern Sydney Regional Organisation of Council’s not-for-profit ‘Our Energy Future’ initiative is working with the local council to deliver the workshops for which bookings are essential.
