The AGDA Poster Annual 2011 is an annual design contest which challenges participants to produce effective and creative Posters on a chosen theme. The winning posters will be displayed at Sydney Design 2011; representatives of printing firms in the nearby suburb of Brookvale who plan to visit this event will be very interested in seeing what innovative designs the winners created.
The Australian Graphic Design Association (AGDA) is a professional organization for design industry professionals and students of design. Their mission is to “to promote the highest values of graphic design.” The theme of this year’s Poster Annual is “inspired by music.” Entrants are encouraged to interpret this theme any way they see fit. Judges for the contest are 7 industry professionals from Australia, Europe and China. This year’s judges are Ken Cato, Kjell Ekhorn, Jon Forss, Chen Zhengda, Fanette Mellier, Stephan Bundi and Elke Koenig.
Entries for the AGDA Poster Annual 2011 will be accepted until August 12. Entry fees are $30 per entry for AGDA members, $55 per entry for non-members and $10 for students. There is no limit to the number of entries each person or organization can submit. Entrants must submit a RGB JPG of their poster design as well as a few paragraphs on how their poster fits into this year’s theme of music.
Posters are one of the easiest ways to get your point across. However, their design must be interesting enough to actually draw someone to look at your poster. The AGDA Poster Annual highlights the best of the best.Get a Free Quote for Posters
