The Office of Neighborhood Services will hold its first community summit in November at the Spokane Fire Department Training Center.

The Spokane Neighborhood Summit is a program where members of the Spokane Neighborhood Council can access educational resources and network with others. The discussions at the summit will deal with the needs of Spokane neighborhoods. Those who plan to participate in the conference are asked to bring a water bottle, pen, and notebook. Attendees will receive a complimentary vegetarian buffet from the event organizers.

The workshops held at the summit will cover several topics, such as how to communicate with courage, transitioning from leadership positions, and how leaders can facilitate effective meetings. Other subjects that the summit will address include social media marketing strategies for the neighborhood and how to make neighborhood council members feel more engaged. Not every workshop can be recorded at the event, so guests are asked to attend the presentations they want to view.

The first neighborhood summit will be held on Saturday, November 4th from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. There is no cost for people to attend the conference, though there are only 30 available spaces for participants. Guests must register in advance to secure a spot in the event. Neighborhood offices that hold summits such as this can use banner printing to share their inaugural events with consumers.
