Spokane to host powerlifting competition

USA Powerlifting will be organizing a contest for weightlifters in April at the Spokane Convention Center.

The USA Powerlifting Empire Classic is an event where members of USA Powerlifting can go head to head in various competitions. The contests at this year’s event will involve exercises such as squatting, deadlifts, and bench presses. Only 120 people are allowed to compete, and 10% of the participants will be tested for drug use. Those who place in the first three spots per contest will get an award. The best lifters in age categories with six or more competitors will receive a Champion of Champions award.

USA Powerlifting is a group that was originally known as the American Drug Free Powerlifting Association. The purpose of the organization is to provide high-quality powerlifting competitions to its members. Those who become members of USA Powerlifting receive benefits like access to the group’s newsletter, training opportunities with coaches, and shopping discounts. Members can also participate in national competitions and volunteer with the organization.

The powerlifting contest will be held on Saturday, April 22. The cost to take part in the competition will be $115 per person. All participants will receive a T-shirt for entering the powerlifting event. Organizations in charge of athletic activities such as this may use Print shops to make custom clothing and accessories for their attendees.
