The Fairmount Memorial Association will be organizing an event at the Greenwood Memorial Terrace in Spokane.
The Fairmount Memorial Association’s Fall Festival and Family Carnival is an annual event where families can support the community and enjoy fun activities. The program will include free carnival games to play, live music, and treats. Families can take pictures with costumed princesses, while children can participate in a costume contest of their own. There are multiple age groups for the competition. Kids may also like to take part in activities like face painting.
The Fairmount Memorial Association is a nonprofit organization in charge of over 750 acres of land. The association was founded in 1888 by E. J. Webster, D. T. Ham, and J. L. Wilson. The parks managed by the group serve as a burial ground for those in the Spokane area community. Several memorial parks are owned by the association, including South Pines Cemetery, Riverside Memorial Park, and the Spokane Memorial Gardens. Dave Ittner is the president of the organization.
The fall festival and carnival will be held on Saturday, October 7th from 11:00am to 1:00pm. There are no ticket fees for the family festival, and registration is not needed. However, the organizers ask that attendees bring non-perishable food items as a donation for the event’s food drive. Associations in charge of similar seasonal fests may use banner printing to help advertise their activities.
