Spokane will be holding a convention in October at The Historic Davenport Hotel's Gaming Salon.
SpoCon Re-Vamped is a themed event where fans of genres such as science fiction, fantasy, and horror can meet and take part in group activities. This year, the convention's main theme will be vampires and will include vampire-themed games, trivia, and a masquerade ball. The event will also have cheesy horror movie screenings, a miniature painting contest, an iron writing competition, and a MAGIC: the Gathering Vampire Cube Tournament. Cosplay is welcomed at the convention.
Several special guests will attend the event, including writers such as Elizabeth R. Alix, Jason Bond, and Manny Frishberg. Musicians like Natalie Rogers and Char MacKay will also be featured at the convention. People can also go on excursions during SpoCon, such as the Spokane's Haunted History walking tour. An art show will be held at the event, and many vendors will be available for guests to browse.
The vampire-themed convention will take place from Friday, October 28 to Sunday, October 30. The price to attend SpoCon is $45 per person. People interested in signing up for any activities offered at the event must register in advance. Companies that take part in conventions such as this can bring promotional Pens to distribute to any customers who visit their stalls to increase their brand familiarity.
