Sugar Land to celebrate the 4th
Everyone here in Sugar Land is invited to don their patriotic best and head over to the town's annual 4th of July Red, White and Boom.
Fun activities are being planned for all ages. Local food trucks and restaurants are loading their menus with good old American food and snacks. Live entertainment will be provided by local talent and vendors will have booths, many of them offering 4th of July-themed items.
A few photo opportunities will be available for revelers to take pictures in order to remember the day and their attire. Photos like these often go to local print shops for duplicates for family and friends.
Attendees will want to remember to bring lawn chairs and blankets to watch the pyrotechnics beginning at dusk.
The 4th of July In Sugar Land festivities will begin 5:00 pm on Thursday, July 4 and run until 9:00 pm at Sugar Land's Crown Festival Park, 18355 Southwest Freeway. Admission will be free and a shuttle service will be available from The University of Houston - Sugar Land and Smart Financial Centre parking lots.
For those wanting something a little different, the George Ranch Historical Park will be holding a Texas-style event with hand-turned ice cream at its ice cream social, games such as sack races, crafts, music, and a picnic at its 1930s ranch house.
This event will be July 4 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at 10215 Fm 762 Road, Richmond.
