Sugar Land gets taste of Louisiana
The Taste of Louisiana Festival will be here in Sugar Land over Memorial Day weekend. This is a chance for everyone to experience music, culture, and cuisine from the Pelican State.
Over 20 Louisiana food vendors will be selling Cajun and Creole treats. Samples can be acquired at reduced prices. Chefs will be giving cooking demonstrations, while artists and crafters will display and sell their original work. A Kids’ Zone will be stocked with rides and inflatable activities.
Seven bands are on the performance line-up. Zydeco Dots will start the festival, and they will be followed by blues group the Peterson Brothers Band. The next performer will be Jai Malano playing modern blues. Next to perform will be the Big 6 Brass Band featuring the Second Line Steppers. Bo Dollis JR will be entertaining the crowd with NOLA Funk. R&B, brass and Zydeco will be presented by Ruben Moreno with Hoodoo. Pryme Time DJ s and Friends will close the evening playing New Orleans Bounce.
Fans of groups such as these usually like to wear the band’s promotional products such as hats, headbands and T-shirts with the group's logo design.
Tickets will be $20 for adults and $10 for kids from the ages of four to 12. Little ones under the age of 4 will not need tickets.
