What's Happening in Sugar Land, TX…

Sugar Land gears up for the 4th

Sugar Land will soon be getting ready for this year's City of Sugar Land's Red, White and Boom experience coming in early July.

The free festival will be commemorating the United States Independence Day with an evening of bright pyrotechnics, food, and plenty of patriotic fun for the whole family.

Activities will include vendor booths, photo opportunities, a wide variety of local talent in the main stage area, and the ever-popular fireworks program will run from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm.

Fireworks are popular subjects for stationery printers to use on their summer notecard sets.

Attendees will be permitted to bring chairs, blankets and canopies. However, the canopies must be placed away from the stage.

Guests will want to arrive by 5:00 pm to get parking on paved lots for those with parking and handicap permits plus a little general public availability. Free shuttle service will be available from the Smart Financial Center, 18111 Lexington Boulevard and the University of Houston Sugar Land, 14000 University Boulevard. The shuttles will run from 4:00 pm to 12:00 am with a break from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm for the fireworks. The last bus will leave the parking lots at 8:30 pm.

The City of Sugar Land's Red, White and Boom will be from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Thursday, July 4th at The Crown Festival Park located at 18355 Southwest Freeway.
