Sugar Land celebrates Halloween
A haunted house, a 5k race, and a mountain bike time trial are scheduled for Sugar Land in October.
The second annual Fort Bend Mountain Bike Association Tower of Terror time trial will be a two-mile run over the Tower Loop trail in Brazos River Park. Junior girls and boys will begin their laps at 9:00 am, followed by adult rides beginning at 10:00 am. Registration fees are $30.
The Tower of Terror time trials will be Saturday, October 12 at 18427 Southwest Freeway.
Spooky Sprint Houston will be a Halloween family-friendly 5k, 10k, and half marathon. Swag includes designer shirts sporting the event's graphic design, chip-timing, and custom medals. A kids’ dash for youngsters will have mini bibs, kids’ dash pins, and youth-sized shirts as swag.
Registration is $36 for the 5k and 10k, and $56 for the half marathon. The kids’ dash will cost $15.
Spooky Sprint will take place in Brazos River Park, beginning at 8:00 pm on Sunday, October 27.
Sugar Land kids will also be lining up for this year's Imperial Park Recreation Center's Haunted House. Themed rooms, special effects, and interactive elements will add to the ambience. Tickets will be $3 for residents and $4 for non-residents. The haunted house will be open from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, October 25 through 27 at 234 Mattage Way.
