For those feeling the chaos and stress of the holiday season, next month’s Fall into Self-Care Workshop hosted by Spring Yoga & Massage may be a welcome change of pace.
Spring Yoga is a local yoga and wellness studio headed by Hope Maxwell, a transformational coach and movement specialist who specializes in wellness retreats and one-on-one coaching. Her yoga studio offers weekly yoga and meditation classes, as well as special events such as December’s self-care workshop.
The four-hour class will focus on how to employ effective self-care techniques to stay present and calm, especially during hectic times around the holidays. There will be a special self-care discussion topic around which the class will be based, as well flow yoga techniques. Attendees will also participate in a healing circle featuring tarot cards and tea, a reiki session, and a kava ceremony with a sound bath. The class will wrap up with Yoga Nidra meditation. Organizers recommend dressing for movement and bringing along a journal.
