The Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts is hosting several summer art camps in Spring beginning in a couple of days.
There will be two age categories of camps - Juniors (age 8 to 12) and Seniors (age 13 to 18) - with only 16 students accepted into each camp. They run from Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.
Juniors can choose between two different camps - the Educated Eye camp is a program that teaches structure, art principles, elements and interpretation, while The Intuitive Eye camp provides training in several art techniques while encouraging “happy accidents” that can become repeatable. The Seniors’ camp combines both.
Fees are $140 for members of the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts or $175 for nonmembers. These prices include five days of instruction, a T-shirt, art supplies, and snacks. A reception will be held at the end for family and friends so that children can show off their finished projects.
No doubt these camps will attract children from all over the Spring area who have an interest in graphic design and want to do something creative this summer.
The Summer Art Camps will be held at the Cypress Creek Christian Community Center in Spring from June 4 to July 27. For more information about registration, or about the individual camps, contact the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts at 281-376-6322.
