The Texas Wildlife & Woodland Expo will be held this year at Lone Star College – Montgomery in Conroe and The Woodlands, about a ten-mile drive from Spring.
The main focus of the expo is education. This event is designed to teach people about the outdoors and how wildlife, healthy trees, and pollinators have a positive impact on life, no matter where people live. This event is for everyone from children to adults to families and encourages people to learn about and explore their natural surroundings.
One draw of the event is the experts. People are encouraged to come to ask their questions, whether they are wondering about certain flowers or trees, want to attract pollinators to their gardens, or simply wonder about their landscape.
There will also be information on how specific creatures, such as bats or insects, affect the ecosystem and the balance of nature. There will be demonstrations and hands-on learning at this event. There will be an adventure area set up for children, featuring multiple activities including kayaking, fishing, archery, digging for earthworms, and making birdhouses.
There will be parking in the parking garage or in the outdoor lots at the college. Events of this nature often use flyer printing to raise awareness in the community and help advertise. This event is currently scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 2, from 10 am to 4 pm.
