In January, Rockler Woodworking and Hardware will be hosting its Pizza Cutter Handle training class for any Spring residents wanting to learn some fun woodworking basics.
Founded in 1954, Rockler Woodworking and Hardware grew from being a family-owned local business to one of the largest online woodworking retailers, with brick-and-mortar stores across the country. It provides tools, accessories, and workshops to meet diverse woodworking needs.
The Pizza Cutter Handle workshop will guide beginners through the basics of using a wood lathe to create a custom pizza cutter handle. The class will include the pizza cutter hardware kit and all the materials needed to craft it. Safety glasses will also be provided.
Organizers ask that participants do not wear open-toed shoes or loose clothing. Long sleeves will need to be rolled up and long hair tied back. In the event that tools must be shared, students will receive gloves to wear as a COVID-19 safety precaution. Masks may also be required in accordance with local ordinances.
The woodworking class is slated for Saturday, January 9, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Tickets are limited, so organizers recommend purchasing them early on Eventbrite.com for $75. The class also has an 18 and up age limit. Workshop events such as this often have need of printing services specializing in brochure printing to provide students with instructional guides.
