Months dedicated to planning and research has come to fruition, as the Spring ISD website was launched on January 30.
Changes to the website enable Spring ISD stakeholders to access information about the district’s academic programs and goings-on instantly. The website is divided into convenient channels that are accessed from its homepage.
The new Website Design reflects requests and comments from parents and the community. According to Spring ISD Chief Communications Officer Tiffany Davila-Dunne, The website is the primary communication tool for the district. It is, however, not the only one and there are still instances when poster or booklet printing is required.
The website was developed by the Blackboard company Schoolwires. It features a responsive design, which regardless of whether it is viewed upon a smart phone, tablet, or computer, intuitively resizes for optimum viewing.
The new district website will be used as a template for the 38 individual campus websites that will be redesigned this spring. Each school will have its website tailored to highlight its campus news and will include information regarding district-wide priorities and initiatives. Also in the pipeline are a district mobile app and an enhanced Spanish version of the website.
The new site is not set in stone; it will continue to evolve to meet the changing needs of the district’s stakeholders.
