Spring golf tournament to raise awareness of human trafficking

Next month, the Makaan Investment Group in Spring will host its charity golf tournament benefiting the Fight for Us organization.

Makaan Investment Group is a passive multifamily real estate investment group that collaborates with discerning investors who are dissatisfied with low returns from savings bonds and savings accounts, but also are wary of the often-volatile stock market. The business is also often involved in the community, holding special events and fundraisers, such as the upcoming golf fundraiser.

Proceeds raised from the golf event will benefit Fight for Us, a collaborative group of sex trafficking survivor leaders and more than 40 anti-trafficking non-profits, as well as corporate and community leaders. The organization’s mission is to combat sex trafficking in Houston and provide resources and services to survivors.

The tournament will feature breakfast tacos, lunch, and beverages, plus plenty of golf-related fun and friendly competition. Local businesses will have to opportunity to become hole sponsors and create themed holes where players can participate in themed activities, such as a spin-the-wheel game where prizes and Promotional Products are up for grabs.

The charity golf event is scheduled for Friday, March 3 from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. It will take place at the Cypresswood Golf Club on 21602 Cypresswood Drive. Individual registration is $150, and team registration is $600.
