The Old Town Spring Freedom Fest will soon be here to celebrate Independence Day weekend with some old-fashioned, family-friendly fun and entertainment.
Old Town Spring is a historic portion of Spring that grew out of the railroad hub built by Great Northern Railroad in the early 1900s. It now serves as a quaint shopping and entertainment village boasting over 150 shops and historic Victorian residences. The City of Spring frequently hosts special events in this area of town due to its historical importance and charm.
The festival will take place in Gentry Square where there will be a Confetti Extravaganza every hour on the hour. There will also be a celebration parade led by Uncle Sam, and live music will be playing all around town. Attendees will have the opportunity to show off their skills in watermelon seed spitting contests and hot dog eating competitions. There will also be plenty of child-friendly games and activities for the whole family.
Local businesses may view festivals like this as an ideal opportunity to boost their visibility in the community by handing out Promotional Products to attract attention.
The Freedom Fest is scheduled for Saturday, July 6, beginning at 11:00 am. It will be held on Gentry Street in Old Time Spring. There is no cost to attend.
