Spring’s Rockler Woodworking and Hardware Store will hold its Cheese Serving Board Woodworking Class next month for those wishing to learn how to make kitchen serving accessories.
Rockler Woodworking and Hardware has been operating as a family-owned business since 1954 when founder Norton Rockler formed the Minnesota Woodworkers Supply Company. Over the years, the small company has grown to include a chain of store nationwide and an international catalogue. The company specializes in power tools, hand tools, hardware, wood finishes, and instructional workshops.
The workshop in September will teach attendees how to craft a simple serving board, which may be used for cheese or other small finger foods. Expert woodworkers will lead the class through the proper steps required to make the board, which includes routing and sawing the wood pieces and then sanding and finishing them. Participants will be able to take their finished product home after the class. The workshop fee will include all necessary materials and tools.

The cheeseboard crafting class is scheduled for Saturday, September 3 from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm. It will take place at the Rockler shop located on 21352 Kuykendahl Road. Tickets are $75.
