Next month, Spring will host the Klein ISD Education Foundation 5K & Kids Fun Run to benefit the Klein Independent School District.
The Klein ISD is a school district in Harris County with five high schools, ten intermediate schools, and 33 elementary schools. The Klein ISD Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization staffed by a volunteer board of directors. The organization exists to provide resources to the school district so that educational programs are maintained, expanded, and enriched for the benefit of students and teachers.
The event will raise money for the foundation’s efforts to give out teacher classroom grants. Participants will have the option of either actively running or walking in person or virtually. The 5K course will be chip-timed and certified by the USATF (USA Track & Field). The fun run is specifically designed for children in grades kindergarten through 5th grade. An awards ceremony will take place for winners in various gender and age groups in the 5K.
Running events like this often utilize Banners to decorate the racecourse. Such banners can often be printed at nearby businesses that offer banner printing.
The running event is scheduled for May 7 from 7:30 am to 11:00 am. It will take place at Klein Memorial Stadium on 16607 Stuebner Airline Road, Spring. Registration fees vary and can be found on the organizer’s website.
