Residents in The Woodlands, and nearby Spring, can lace up their running shoes later this week.
The 'Pink 5K' will allow the community to band together and run or walk to remember a survivor and support the fight against cancer. There will also be a one-mile walk. Prizes will be handed out for the best costume in both team and individual categories.
The race is open to all ages, and strollers and wheelchairs are also allowed. Registration costs $35 and includes a T-shirt and bib. The price goes up to $45 on race day. Kids between the ages of 3 and 12 can sign up for $20 and little ones under two are free. T-Shirts are not guaranteed for race day registration. In addition, children aged two and under will not be given a shirt with their registration.
For $45, individuals can preregister for a race and also purchase a dedication card to put on the honor wall at the event. It is likely a printing company was contacted to help make the cards.
Participants can pick up their packet either tomorrow or Friday from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm at Luke’s Locker on Market Street. Participants should be ready to run on May 9 at 8:30 am. Race day registration begins at 7:30 am. It all takes place at Creekside Park.Get a Free Quote for T-Shirts
