For two days, Historic Old Town Spring will once again host the Texas Wine & Art Festival, an event spotlighting Texas-based craft beers and wineries along with regional handcrafted art, fashions, and photography.
Texas offers a diverse selection of excellent wines and the festival will feature samples from more than 14 local and regional wineries, as well as micro-brewed beers from the Houston area. Attendees should be on the lookout for Flyers as they sample so they will have a way of contacting those whose products they particularly like.
While enjoying a glass of award-winning Texas wine or craft beer, attendees can savor original works of art from local artists and sample local food products. Moreover, the Go Texans vendors will supply unique shopping opportunities.
Wine tasting tickets purchased online and are $20, plus a $2.09 fee, or can be obtained at the gate for $30. Included in the price are seven wine tastings and a commemorative wine glass. For those who find that seven tastings are not enough, additional tastings can be obtained for $1 each.
The family friendly event will be held rain or shine, and general admission is free. The Festival takes place at the Old Town Spring entrance and runs Saturday, April 9 from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm and Sunday, April 10 from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm. Proceeds from the $6 parking fee will go to the Knights of Columbus.
