Museum bee program to keep Spring abuzz

Next January, The Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts in Spring will resume hosting its Meet a Beekeeper event programming for the community.

The Pearl Fincher Museum is a community-centered, non-profit museum that offers first-hand, direct access to original pieces of art. It is a noncollecting museum, meaning that it obtains its artwork through borrowing from both private and public collections. It also goes beyond the traditional museum format by complementing its exhibitions with a robust schedule of educational programming and community events.

The Meet a Beekeeper event is a free, repeating program that the museum offers to the public on select Tuesdays of the month. At January’s event, attendees will be introduced to the pollinator exhibit. There will be a professional beekeeper giving a talk on different topics related to bees and beekeeping, such as the life cycle of bees, the various types of bees, and what gear is used to collect honey. The event is designed to appeal to families of all ages.

Educational events such as this will often include printed Brochures detailing event specifics to hand out to guests. Organizers can receive help printing such materials at brochure printing shops in their area.
