In a few weeks, Spring residents can enjoy a day of food, activities, live entertainment, and art.
The 5th Annual Creekfest: Festival of Arts will have a marketplace at which participants can check out nonprofit and business booths, along with food and craft vendors. Poster printing was likely used to get the word out about this event.
To start the day off, there will be a Creekfest Color the Creek 5K Run and 1K Family Run or Walk. During the run, participants will wear white shirts and get covered with color along the way. Registration costs $40 and includes a T-shirt and colored powder. Ten or more individuals can register as a team for $30 each. The 1K family run or walk costs $20 for adults and $10 for kids, and begins at 8:00 am.
The fine arts tent will have featured artists. Some of them will be outdoors creating chalk art. In addition, the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts will have several different art projects that are tailored to children. The Barbara Bush Library will also have activities.
For $5, individuals can register their pooch for the dog costume contest. Dogs must be leashed, licensed, and with an adult at all times.
It all takes place on October 3 from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm. The event will be held at the Cypress Creek Cultural District on Cypresswood Drive, and is free to attend.
