Independence Day woodworking class planned for Spring

Next month, Spring’s own Rockler Woodworking and Hardware shop will be hosting a pen acrylic class in honor of the upcoming 4th of July holiday.

Rockler Woodworking is a family-owned chain of wood and hardware shops that have multiple locations around the country. In addition to selling hardware and crafting supplies, it also holds workshops for those in the community. July’s workshop will be a pen acrylic class with a red, white, and blue theme.

Students will learn the basics of handling acrylic to create their own customized acrylic pen. Red, white, and blue acrylic will be provided to make the craft theme fall in line with the upcoming Independence Day festivities. All other supplies needed to craft the pen will also be provided by the host.

Safety equipment such as gloves will be provided in the event that students need to share tools. All classrooms and equipment will be sanitized in between each session.

The Patriotic Pen class is scheduled for Saturday, July 3, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The class is designed for students 18 and up. The venue address is 21352 Kuykendahl Road, Spring. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased online.
