Houston Hot Wheels event on hold

The Hot Wheels Legends Tour is making its way to Houston as Mobil 1 searches for the best custom cars to showcase at its 18 stops across the US, but has been postponed from April 18 to a later date.

This Legends Tour will be presented at Walmart stores in every major city, in particular those that are affiliated with car culture. The tour has plans to make a special stop at the Hot Wheels Headquarters. The team of judges for this contest includes automotive influencers, Hot Wheels designers, and store managers from Walmart. They will be voting for vehicles to immortalize onto a die-cast toy car for new Hot Wheels playsets.

These car models are evaluated based on their levels of creativity, authenticity, and garage spirit. With authenticity, judges will be deciding if the vehicles match their original brand. In terms of creativity, they want to see unique designs and efficient builds to add to their 25,000-vehicle collection. Garage spirit is upheld by car fanatics who tell stories of what inspired their love of motoring.

After the competition, a winner will be declared from every stop on the tour. Car fanatics from Spring, Texas have a chance to obtain prizes like a trip to SEMA, which is an automotive trade event featuring specialty products.

Hot Wheels is temporarily suspending its tour until further notice, so interested parties should stay tuned to the Facebook page for updates. Corporate Gifts such as gadgets and repair tools would be suitable for a car show event like the Legends Tour.
