There are two festivals coming up in the Spring area shortly.
The first is the Shakespeare Festival, beginning today. The festival is part of the ‘Shakespeare in the Shade’ festival, which presents a Shakespeare play once a year. It is presented by Harris County Precinct 4, and will start off with a preview performance of this year’s play, which is ‘Romeo and Juliet’, on Friday night.
The next two days will feature a family-friendly festival and three performances of the play. The festival will feature entertainment, face painting, children’s crafts, games, and food trucks. There will be two performances of the play on Saturday, at 2:00 and 7:30 PM.
Next month, the Heritage Festival is taking place for one day. It celebrates the history of the area and is set to include recreations of Confederate and Union camps. There will also be a guided tour of a newly discovered cemetery, archaeology digs and storytelling. In addition, there will be crafts, demonstrations, live entertainment and food trucks.
Both events are taking place in nearby Tomball and will likely attract many visitors from Spring and other communities. To help spread the word, organizers might hire a local printing services company.
The Shakespeare Festival will be held at Burroughs Park from today to Sunday, April 22, and the Heritage Festival is set to take place at Spring Creek Park on May 19 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
