The Bayou City Art Festival at Memorial Park will be a 2020 production by the Art Colony Association to showcase the finest art in Houston.
This outdoor festival will kick off the spring season with a long line of artists setting up shop near the Galleria area and residential communities along River Oaks, for those who appreciate a professional painting, in hopes of raising support for independent artists. It is the first stop on the Texas Fine Art Festival tour, providing amenities for patrons who choose to buy art pieces and vendors who display their style through various mediums.
Space will be reserved for life-sized metalwork, sculptures, and garden art. There are a few accommodations given to artists such as discount hotel bookings and booth seats. In addition, a Creative Zone is going to feature interactive art exhibits just for the kids with performance art funded by Houston’s nonprofits.
Qualified artists are featured in fine art galleries and under prominent museum collections. It certainly gives art collectors a chance to meet the artists or purchase their original works to give back to the volunteers. A total of 19 fine art categories are predicted to be on display, from acrylic paintings to printmaking.
The Bayou City Art Festival runs from Mar 27 to 29 in the downtown Memorial Park. Brochure printing would be useful at art shows to introduce different styles to new patrons.
