Nolensville invited to learn about owls
Some night flying birds of prey will be the stars of the show at a Nolensville area event, and everyone may enjoy the experience.
Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary will be putting these feathered friends in the spotlight during its Owl Day activities, and it will be a family friendly celebration. Tickets may be purchased both in advance and at the gate, and the activity will run for three hours.
Visitors to the venue can sit in on one of the three Owl Ambassador presentations that are in the works, and there will be lots of other hands-on fun as well. The kids can make an owl craft, learn about what they eat by dissecting an owl pellet, and a scavenger hunt has also been organized. There will be several species discussed, and the birds that will be on site need permanent care and can’t be released to be wild.
Offering the public an opportunity to learn more about particular species can help to spark an interest in protecting them. Promotional products can be custom prepared by print companies that perform in house graphic design work.
